Error 290: Access denied - Backup Set is locked. (BLM Archiving Process) BACKUP_SET_PATH_ON_DS-SYSTEM_ONLINE_STORAGE
| Scenario: | A BLM Archiving request was made and it failed for any reasons: Example: write to BLM harddisk failed |
|---|---|
| Reason: | The backup set is locked by interrupted BLM archiving process. |
| Workaround: | Check the Active Archive Requests option in the DS-Operator, BLM menu and see if you have any incomplete BLM Archiving Requests. Start/Delete the BLM Archiver requests. Both actions will release the locked backup set. |
Error 286: Cannot open database requested in login 'dsdelta.' Login Fails.
| Scenario: | After runing the DS-Client repair option to recover "DS-Client and delta databases", and restarting the DS-Client to finish the databases recovery, DS-Client service does not stay started. The following error is reported in the Operating System Event |

| Reason: | This error message indicates that the database recovery has not yet finished. For large dsdelta databases, you may need to wait longer in order to allow the recovery to finish succesfully. |
| Workaround: | 1.If you can start the DS-Client Service: - Connect to the DS-User and trigger a recovery of "DS-Client and delta databases" again. - After you restart the DS-Client Service, please check in the SQL Enterprise Manager the status of the databases. If the status is loading, then the recovery has not yet finished and you should wait until the database status changes to normal. - Try connecting with the DS-User to DS-Client. 2.If you cannot start the DS-Client Service: - Drop the dsclient and dsdelta databases manually. - Re-run the DS-Client installation and recreate the DS-Client databases. - Start the database recovery again. - Please make sure that dsclient and dsdelta databases are not in use by other queries while your are trying to recover them. |
Error 161: Cannot create file when that file already exists (path)
| Scenario: | During a restore, multiple "Cannot create file when that file already exists (path)" errors may be reported. |

| Reason: | The user who is trying to perform the restore does not have sufficient rights to write on the destonation disk. |
| Workaround: | Change the credentials in the restore wizard before you start the restore. |
Error 83: Database recovery in progress, cannot perform the requested activity.
| Scenario: | Trying to start any type of Activity during DS-Client database recovery will cause this message to appear. |

| Reason: | DS-Client Database Recovery requires exclusivity. |
| Workaround: | Step 1: Wait until DS-Client database Recovery process finished. Step 2: Try to start the activity again. |
